1990 FERRARI 348 TS

Introduced in 1989 as the successor to the 328, the Ferrari 348 marked the beginning of a new generation of mid-engined V8 Ferraris. Its distinctive design drew inspiration from the Testarossa, most notably through its side strakes and rectangular rear lights, while its longitudinally mounted 3.4-litre V8 and transverse five-speed gearbox gave the model its “348” designation. In ts form, the removable targa roof added open-air driving to an otherwise uncompromisingly analogue Ferrari experience.

Completed on 2 November 1990 and delivered new to Switzerland in April 1991, this particular 348 ts is an exceptionally well-preserved and remarkably low-mileage example.

Finished in the quintessential combination of Rosso Corsa over Rosso leather, it retains its matching-numbers 3.4-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine, producing 300 hp and paired with Ferrari’s celebrated five-speed gated manual gearbox.

The car has had just three owners from new, two of whom reportedly chose not to register it for road use. Carefully preserved and maintained throughout its life, it has covered only 5,298 kilometres from new, making it an unusually original and compelling example of the 348 ts
