1959 FACEL VEGA Excellence

The marque Facel Vega was created by Jean Daninos in 1954.

During the short life -1954 to 1964- of the marque,  only 2,879 cars were built by the factory, all of them being stylish, luxurious and fast.

Among them only 153 Excellences were manufactured.

The glamorous, high-performance and extremely expensive luxury saloon Facel Vega Excellence was the only model with four doors (suicide doors at the back with no center pillar) ever made by the marque, and was unveiled by Facel Vega at the Paris Auto Show in October 1956. 

Our Facel Vega Excellence is one of 134 fitted with a De Soto 'Wedge' 361ci V8 engine. She was delivered new to Portugal in 1959 to her first and sole owner who registered her on 6th of January of that same year. Since then, the car has only covered 46,000 km…

Apart from having been repainted black, our Excellence is in original condition: original engine, original red leather interior, original carpets, original mileage.
